Artem Yasynskyy

Artem Yasynskyy is one of the most distinguished pianists of his generation, seamlessly combining the refined art of classical piano performance with the unique craft of improvisation. Having begun improvising at a very young age, he later deepened this skill through formal studies in composition, elevating his improvisations into compelling artistic creations. On stage, he engages in a direct dialogue with his audience, shaping music in the moment and transforming each performance into a shared creative experience.

As a classical pianist, he is a gold medalist of the Cincinnati World Piano Competition and a prizewinner at numerous prestigious international competitions, including the Sydney International Piano Competition, the Honens International Piano Competition (Canada), the Sendai International Music Competition (Japan), the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition (USA), and the Top of the World Competition (Norway), among others.

An essential aspect of Artem Yasynskyy’s artistic identity is chamber music. He collaborates with leading artists and ensembles and has recorded extensively with the Lyatoshynsky Trio for labels such as Pentatone, Naxos, and Supreme. His chamber music partners include Maddalena Del Gobbo and ensembles.

His discography also features solo recordings, including works by Scarlatti and Josef Hofmann, released on the Naxos and Grand Piano (Naxos) labels.

Artem Yasynskyy is currently a teaching piano at the Universities of Graz and Bremen, and he has previously held professors positions at Universities of Trieste and Bremen.
